Practical embedded trials on hexapods

GTT carries out various types of measurements on transparent tanks carried by hexapods.  

To track the movements of liquid inside the tanks, R&D Vision created an acquisition system including 4 high definition compact IDS Imaging cameras operating at 50Hz. Acquisition is triggered by input/output signals sent by a National Instruments acquisition unit.  

The data is compressed on the fly and the acquisition is conducted without loss on the 4 cameras for trials that can last several days.  

Once the experiment is completed, the data is automatically archived on a remote server.
