Optics and AI: a real asset for linen

Live from the World Linen Forum, R&D Vision is working with European Confederation of Linen and Hemp (CELC) officials to promote Linen.

Linen is a clean, natural fibre that has seen considerable growth thanks to its mechanical properties and its durability.

In partnership with the CELC, we designed and tested new solutions that integrate optics and artificial intelligence (AI) to objectify quality criteria and increase knowledge of the production of this light, resistant and renewable natural fibre.

Following tests by our teams in a laboratory environment and then on-site, the results are encouraging and should benefit everyone in the linen industry to enhance the professional tools used to qualify this fibre.
