Objective qualification of long linen fibres

Our work inpartnership with the European Confederation of Flax and Hemp (CELC) iscontinuing in earnest and should soon result in the first production launch.

Our solutions,which integrate optical diagnostics and AI, have two aims. The first is toimprove awareness of the uniformity of linen production, and the second tofurther the entire sector’s knowledge of the organoleptic qualities of thisnatural fibre.

Tests werecarried out in a laboratory, followed by tests on scutching lines on the basisof 115 samples. We analysed more than 100,000 images and gathered more than 2TB of data: indications about retting quality, the measurements and detectionof thicker fibres, which have been identified and analysed over the last fewmonths and will help enhance the qualification of linen.
