Microfluidics has been a rapidly emerging discipline over the past few years. 

R&D Vision has developed several systems for different purposes. One of these is intended for the flows of fluorescent particles in microchannels. 

The system includes:  

An inverted microscope  

- A high sensitivity, high speed camera

 - A pulsed laser 

- A motorised microscope stage 

- A piezoelectric actuator 

The software application is fully automated using HIRIS to control the equipment, 3D scan the microchannels and manage the acquisition of the sequences of images. 

For processing, tracking and PIV software is available.
