Drosophila visualization and tracking

R&D Vision has set up a Drosophila visualization and tracking system for the Evolution, Genomes, Behavior and Ecology laboratory.

In its first phase, the system consisted of 4 high resolution digital cameras installed on a mechanical arch. The acquisition station is sized to ensure acquisitions for several tens of hours through on-the-fly compression.

The second phase of the project saw the addition of a fifth very high resolution camera (29Mpixels) for viewing a large arena.

Finally, the next step will be to develop the treatment algorithm to ensure tracking Drosophila over time.
