As part of a partnership with the ICM in the field of optogenetics, we are developing an image acquisition and analysis system to study the behavior of zebrafish larvae (Zebrafish).
Several experimental configurations are put in place by the ICM. These test cases make it possible to evaluate the adequacy of our tools (HIRIS, CameraTool, IOTool) to answer the varied needs of the experiments.
A hardware architecture and image processing algorithms have been developed to respond optimally to the constraints induced by this type of experiment. In particular the management of a very large data flow taking into account the resolution and the frame rate (> 500 fps) necessary for a differentiation of behaviors and robust statistics.
We are investing in this new discipline (Optogenetics) because after more than 16 years of achievements in optical diagnostic systems we have the expertise and solutions to meet a science that integrates lighting, synchronization, acquisition and advanced image processing. With this in mind, we participated in a round table organized by the ICM and bringing together many players in this field at the international level.
