Automated inspection of grapes for the UPR!

Further to two harvests using an optical analysis system and developing Artificial Intelligence, the UPR of Champagne le Mesnil and R&D Vision are working hand in hand to develop a complete inspection machine for crates of grapes by the end of this summer.

In addition to assessing the maturity of the grapes and detecting foreign objects and the presence of powdery mildew, this machine will be fully automated and interfaced with the conveyor and automaton of Mignon Distribution under the supervision of EBC.

At the next harvest, the system will be in operation and the results of this promising partnership will become clear.
