Auscult’Video: embedded image acquisition system

R&D Vision has developed a new image and data acquisition system embedded in a vehicle for Colas. This system comes in the form of a compact case containing an acquisition station, a camera, a GPS and a touchscreen tablet. 

The colour camera is synchronised with the vehicle's odometer, the GPS antenna and the touchscreen tablet. The triggering and recording of images is carried out as a function of the distance travelled. 

Using a simple and easy-to-use graphic interface, the business data is entered into the touchscreen tablet with a real-time decision-making aid. All the information displayed and entered can be configured by an administrator using XML type files. 

The data is archived and replay software for PC can be used for later analysis in the office.
