R&D Vision designs and manufactures, based on customer specifications, optical diagnostics, image acquisition and processing systems: special machines, embedded optronic sensors, optical tables, optical maintenance assistance systems…

These systems include optical, mechanical and electronic elements, as well as software. They are qualified in the end environment to guarantee performance and certify them against prevailing standards.

In collaboration with its sister company ISINOV, R&D Vision also has industrialisation capacity for small and medium-sized production runs.

Optical diagnostics covers all the techniques used to define an environment unobtrusively by controlling the lighting, the sensor and the processing of the signal. Depending on the optical technique used, different measurements are possible: shape, colour, position, speed, size, concentration, temperature…

R&D Vision's expertise right along the measurement chain makes it possible to optimise the critical aspects of a system: precision, robustness in the given environment and reproducibility.

The technical team at R&D Vision, consisting of 15 doctors and engineers, develops advanced image processing & IA algorithms: 3D reconstruction, image correlation, spectral analysis, deep learning, 2D/3D tracking of objects, colorimetry, detection of flaws…

These algorithms are qualified using test cases and carried by optimized platforms: embedded, FPGA, GPU... They can be developed in different languages to facilitate their integration into third party applications.

The services offered by R&D Vision fall into 2 categories:

- Studies and consultancy: R&D Vision conducts studies for different needs ranging from technical pre-dimensioning prior to project kick-off to critical analysis, in order to optimise an existing system. The scope of these studies is defined on a case-by-case basis depending on the types of systems to be studied. 

- Measurement services: these are for companies that have specific measurement needs: high speed video, PIV, thermographics, granulometrics... R&D Vision deploys its technical resources on-site or in its laboratory while taking into account experimental (measurement dynamic, precision, reproducibility…)  and environmental considerations.
