The sensor for measuring position and orientation developed by R&D Vision is based on the detection of an object associated with its 3D model. 

This technique, which is highly accurate (≈ 1% of the object distance) and efficient in terms of processing time (measurement frequency >100Hz) makes it possible to use only one camera for the measurement. The system consists of plotters on the object (active/passive), an optical head (camera) combined with a computing unit. 

The system has been used in a harsh environment (embedded, poor weather conditions…).
