Poetis is a young, innovative company that designs and manufactures human biological tissue using a laser assisted bioprinting technique to position the cells in 3D with micrometric precision. This innovative technology is based on generating a stream containing micro-droplets of cells thanks to laser impulsion (for further information: www.poietis.com). The precision of the procedure relies on controlling the characteristics of the streams. 

To this end, R&D Vision has developed an ombroscopic stream imaging system for Poietis. The lighting specifically designed for this application supplies pulses in the order of 20ns in the near infra-red spectrum producing, in fields of a few mm², clear and contrasted images of high speed streams. The quality of the images captured by our HIRIS software opens the way for further processing, such as calculating the speed of the droplet trains.

The system also includes a macro lens combined with a camera synchronised with the lighting by our EG box.
